The 2011 X Games 17 Mens Skateboard Park event went down on July 28th outside of Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.
When it comes to X Games Skateboard Park, fortune favors the rookie. While Brazilian Pedro Barros took home the gold in 2010 on his first try, Raven Tershy walked away with the gold this year on his first attempt. Tershy, a product of Santa Cruz, California, shot around the course like a pinball shot from a cannon. He displayed his mastery by mixing technical tricks and using multiple lines around the park.
