The 2011 Winter X Games 15 Mens Snowboard Slopestyle event went down on January 30th at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colorado.
And guess what?
There was a Cork party and it was hosted by two teenage Canadians.
The X Games Slopestyle gold was claimed by 18 year old Canadian Sebastien Toutant. In his Winter X Games debut, Toutant not only scored a 97 in the elimination round, the highest score ever, but also walked away with the top prize. The lower half of Sebastien Toutant’s winning run flows like this - Rodeo 540 off the cannon to Cab Double Cork 1260 to Frontside Double Cork 1080 to Backside 1260 Double Cork.
Toutant’s friend, Mark McMorris, 17, also brought his share of cork and took home the silver medal.
