It isn’t often that guys wander around the streets of New York City with a surfboard. Between finding a taxi with surf racks, cramming into the subway or skewering a fellow pedestrian, the thing is a bit unwieldy. But then again, when you are the 10-time surfing world champion Kelly Slater, you can bring your board anywhere you please.
Kelly Slater stopped by the CBS ‘The Early Show’ last Friday to hash out the details of victorious ways with Harry Smith, Julie Chen and Maggie Rodriguez. Kelly talks about has 10 championships, his 18 years on the WCT, how the tour has changed and the loss of Andy Irons.
