After much confusion and a tie score among two competitors, Jake Brown wins the 2009 X Games 15 Skateboard Big Air competition. While Jake Brown and Bob Burnquist had identical scores after four attempts and they both failed to land their fifth and final attempts, the X Games tiebreaker system awarded Jake Brown the championship. Is this how we want the most fan friendly skateboard competition decided?
Jake’s best run included a 360 ollie over the gap and a 540 20 feet out. Bob’s best run featured a switch drop-in with a 180 over the gap followed by an indie 360 on the quarterpipe.
