This weekend the Los Angeles Times profiled the Newport Beach home of the CEO / founder of Sole Technology, Inc. Pierre Andre Senizergues. While Pierre Andre might sound like just another French guy, he is responsible for creating and building many of the largest brands in our industry. The brands underneath the Sole Technology Inc. corporate umbrella include etnies shoes, eS footwear, ThirtyTwo snowboard boots, Emerica shoes and Altamont Apparel. His action sports empire generates over $200 million per year.
The article covers not only Pierre Andre’s eclectic home complete with a colorful indoor jacuzzi and Marrakech meditation room but also his rags-to-riches story from skate rat to professional skater to action sports mogul.
The article also covers Skate Study House, a new furniture design company that was formed between Pierre Andre and friend, Gil Le Bon De Lapointe. Skate Study House uses skateboard decks and wheels to create shelves, clocks, benches, coffee tables and lounge chairs.
No mention of Pierre Andre Senizergues would be complete without mention of The Etnies Skatepark in Lake Forest, California. While Pierre Andre has enjoyed great financial success through the formation of his businesses, he also given back to the skateboard community by building, quite possibly, the greatest skateboard park in the world.
